1. Who we are
Atelier FLE is operated by Jatin Kant ("we", "us", "our"), the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use this service. You can contact us at support@atelierfle.com.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials (hashed).
- Practice data: answers you submit, recordings, AI-generated scores and feedback.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, usage telemetry.
- Cookies: essential session cookies; see Section 9.
Payment data (card details, billing address) is collected and processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and is not stored on our servers.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the service (account creation, scoring exams) — performance of a contract.
- Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
- Legal and tax compliance — legal obligation.
4. Data sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Subprocessors providing hosting, database, email, and AI inference (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, AI model providers).
- Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, for processing payments, managing subscriptions, calculating tax, and issuing invoices and refunds.
- Professional advisers (accountants, legal counsel) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent adequacy mechanisms.
6. Retention
We keep account and practice data while your account is active, and for up to 24 months after deletion or last activity. Invoicing and tax records are kept for the periods required by law (typically 6–10 years). Data is deleted or anonymised once no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where relevant) you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will respond within one month of receiving a verified request. Contact support@atelierfle.com.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials, and regular security reviews.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Paddle may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention.
10. Changes
We may update this notice; the "Last updated" date will reflect any change.
