Should I take the DELF A2 or jump to B1?
A quick self-check to decide which DELF level matches your current French — with the can-do statements that actually matter.

The cheapest way to find out is to take one free mock paper at each level on Atelier FLE. But here's a shortcut.
Take A2 if
You can introduce yourself, talk about your routine, and order food — but a fast native speaker still loses you. You read short emails and signs without a dictionary.
Take B1 if
You can hold a 10-minute conversation on a familiar topic, write a structured email with reasons, and follow the news headlines.
When in doubt, take A2 first
A passed A2 is a real diploma valid for life. Failing B1 by two points teaches you nothing official.
